Casper Hoke b. January 6, 1744 d. July 16, 1821 was a blacksmith and farmer in either Paradise or Heidleburg Township, York County, PA. Casper was the son of immigrant Johann Jacob Hoke b. abt March 20, 1695 d. abt June 21, 1766 and his second wife, Anna Margaretha (Mueller?)b. abt 1711 d. March 7, 1785. Casper had a brother Johannes Hoke b. abt 1740 d. October 27, 1781 m. abt 1762 to Maria Sabina Swope.
I have a gggreat grandfather Michael Hoke b. July 19, 1785 d.March 21, 1868 that lived in York County, PA. His father was Casper Hoke. Michael Hoke was a substantial farmer and hotel keeper. Possibly lived at or near Spring Grove or Nashville, PA areas (west of York, PA). (Jim Hoke)
